Fluency

Reading Fluency is the ability to read phrases and sentences smoothly and quickly, while understanding them as expressions and ideas. (According to Ryan Phelps wiki, 2013)  Fluency is difficult for some students and easy for others.  No matter which is the case, it is up to us to make sure that students can read fluently or they will struggle with comprehension and other important aspects of reading.

Fluency game

This game would be a great tool to use to help students learn how to read fluently. This game teaches fluency because they are required to read a sentence without seeing it before. This is a great game that students could play on their own in a center without the teacher's help.

This is a great fluency game for around Thanksgiving.  It would be fun for them, as well as, great fluency practice.
